Another collaboration of Romain Perrot with Bruce Russell related projects. Liner notes are from Bruce Russell, those recordings have never been released before, those are the last ones before drummer Peter Stapleton passed away....
Emerging from the ethereal realms of sonic mastery, New Zealand’s most audacious experimental outfit, The Dead C, presents ‘Deux nuits à Paris’, two complete live sets that ensnares and exemplifies their ever-evolving sonic journey. From the pulsating metaphysical city of Dunedin, the band - Bruce Russell, Michael Morley, and Robbie Yeats - became a testament to the country’s under ground music scene, stirring the waters with their unorthodox sound landscapes since the late ‘80s. Profoundly philosophical and unapologetically experimental, The Dead C gracefully brush strokes onto the canvas of sound that are those recordings.
This double live album is not merely a recollection of a time and place but an exhibition of raw energy, spontaneous creativity, and the irreplaceable reverberations of improvisation and somehow, songs. The Dead C places the listener at the center of a spiraling vortex of fractured guitar notes, sprawling feedback, cathartic drums manipulations and enigmatic, submerged lyrics -- a complete immersion into their aural architecture. Each night is a journey towards the unknown, challenging the listener to embrace the implicit tension between the familiar and the strange. Experiencing this double live recording which happened in Paris at the iconic venue Les Instants Chavires, is wading through streams of consciousness, where every moment springs forth a new sensory revelation, the echoes of sonic experimentation ricocheting off the walls of reality.
The atmosphere thickens and lightens, enveloped in the three-piece’s enthralling ability to balance raw chaotic dissonance with a overwhelming overall flow of unfiltered expression.
Two live sets of collaborations: One set is Vomir/Meirino collaboration electro-acoustics heavy-textured noise, the other one is Roro's shit-folk altered live by Meirino's machines...

Art brut master Olivier Bringer tell you stories in tongues, accompanied by Romain Perrot out of place synth music... Olivier Bringer, voice & Romain Perrot, keyboards, electronics, voice.
Quentin Rollet, alto saxophone, sopranino saxophone, synthesizer, electronics. Romain Perrot, keyboards, electronics, voice. Here we leave - just a little - the world of the voluntarily failed, the waste and the sound vomit, for something cosmic-ambient low-cost, combining electronics and saxophone with a strange look on the tradition that must be destroyed!
This new CD works somehow as a sequel to the first collaboration between Roro Perrot and Yves Botz, released on tape by Decimation Sociale, during the early days of the label, and once again brings together two undisputed masters of french coprophony.
What we have here is the trademark “shit folk for a shit world”: retarded, inhuman growls against a barrage of out-of-tune six string mayhem, an uncompromising vomit towards all that is polished and clean, and yet, this album manages to combine the usual elements present on previous releases with a few more layers of absurdity.
It consists of a single track, sprawling over 45 minuts of object banging, annoying clavier chaos, obtuse de-composition and cavernous no-fi psychosis, with a distinctive “live recording” fee that evokes contemporary urban collapse as much as animalistic reclusion - the bootleg soundtrack to sociopathic acts of sabotage and mongoloid abomination.
Dead frequencies, parasites recodings, sounds of the ground, while objects are cracking, music, noise. Romain Perrot (VOMIR) and Paul Hegarty (SAFE) being determined the final failure of the noise, through a rigidity both relentless and brittle.
200 copies, digisleeve.
