1. Area of applicability
The present General Terms and Conditions (GTC) shall apply exclusively to all business relations between Association META (hereinafter referred to as CORTICALART) and its purchaser. Provisions differing from those indicated in our General Terms and Conditions cannot be accepted unless agreed on by CORTICALART and the purchaser in writing, in individual cases.

2. Contract conclusion
Orders can be placed with Corticalart by using the cart on the website, by mail or by phone. An incoming order to Corticalart constitutes an offer to conclude a sales contract with Corticalart. The sales contract comes into existence when Corticalart sends an order confirmation to the customer via email.
3. Orders via the website (cart)
Order can be placed using a cart system equipped with a secured connection in three steps.
Step 1 : The customer can add the products to the cart by clicking on the “Add to Cart” function on each product page. The customer can view the products in the cart, their prices and quantities at top right of the screen.
Step 2 : The customer can click on the “Checkout” button to go to step 2, where he/she must enter the address, email address and telephone number. Shipping fee is calculated at this step, with different options (if applied).
Step 3 : Payment. Before completing the order, the customer must select one of the available payment methods. Once the customer clicks on the “Buy” button, it shall be considered that the customer has accepted the Terms which can be viewed at any time. After clicking on the “Buy” button, the customer will immediately receive an email indicating the receipt of the order.
4. Prices / Shipping costs
Prices of goods do not include shipping costs. We ship worldwide. There is no minimum order value.
All prices are specified in Euro and are inclusive of the value-added tax (VAT) at the current rates chargeable in France. Prices specified at the time of concluding the order shall be applicable. The sales tax is specified separately in the invoices.
Customers from the European Union (EU) have to pay the french VAT and will never have to pay import tax on orders. Prices for customers from outside the EU are without french VAT rate (20%).
The local customs may add import duty/local sales tax to your order when delivering, based on the invoice attached with the parcel (usually at a rate equivalent to the local sales tax). The customer is liable for any such charges, not Corticalart. Tax deduction is calculated at check-out for orders delivered to an address outside the EU. There’s no tax deduction on shipping fee.
Shipping cost is automatically calculated depending of your country. By clicking on the cart button in the main menu, you can see the exact shipping costs; you will also find the exact shipping costs at “Check out” before completing your order.
When you place your order, a label is automatically generated from the address you type into your account details, so you are responsible for getting this right. If you get your address wrong and do not notify us before the order is sent, we cannot refund the postage costs once the parcel is returned to us.
5. Payment
Corticalart accepts payments per bank transfer, Paypal, credit card, transferwise and check (France only).
The customer is under obligation to pay the entire purchase price in advance. The product will be dispatched after receiving the payment.
Until the entire payment is made, products remain the property of Corticalart.
6. Return Policy / Right of withdrawal
We replace or refund any damaged or defective products provided that you notify us within 2 working days after delivery.
The customer can withdraw from an order within 14 days starting from the day of the delivery of the goods. Within this time frame no reasons for withdrawal have to be given. Please note that we cannot accept returns on products where the seal or packaging has been broken. Customer bears the cost of return and we reimburse all payments received, including the cost of delivery, once we receive the goods. The customer is only liable for any diminished value of the goods.
