el TCG is developing sound research around the notion of immersive sound spaces, based on the perception of sounds in motion. The spatialized fragmentation of a continuous sound, for example, gives rise to an auditory experience in which each frequency segment is perceived as coming from distinct directions, enriching the spatial dimension of listening. He works with a modular synthesizer, enabling him to create a unique sound material that can be modulated in real time. The choreographies used in octophony are inspired by nature (celestial or geological movements, fluids or the living world, mechanical movements…) to poetically confront them through changes of scale. This album was recorded in the St Julien church in Caen, during the Interstice festival on May 14, 2023. A publication of Laboratoire Modulaire – ésam Caen/Cherbourg.
el TCG développe une recherche sonore autour de la notion d’espaces sonores immersifs, basée sur la perception des sons en mouvement. La fragmentation spatialisée d’un son continu, par exemple, donne lieu à une expérience auditive où chaque segment de fréquence est perçu comme provenant de directions distinctes, enrichissant la dimension spatiale de l’écoute. Il travaille avec un synthétiseur modulaire, ce qui lui permet de créer un matériau sonore unique et modulable en temps réel. Les chorégraphies utilisées dans l’octophonie s’inspirent de la nature (mouvements célestes ou géologiques, fluides ou monde vivant, mouvements mécaniques…) pour les confronter poétiquement à travers des changements d’échelle. Cet album a été enregistré dans l’église St Julien de Caen, lors du festival Interstice, le 14 mai 2023. Une publication du Laboratoire Modulaire – ésam Caen/Cherbourg.
