Percussionist/voice performer Seijiro Murayama previously lived for a long time in France, and he moved back to that country in 2018 after several years back in Japan. His extremely original performances, using a drum set or some parts thereof, have been highly acclaimed in Europe and throughout the world. The two tracks on this CD, which follows Murayama’s album Downdate (released on the Hitorri label in November 2017), are solo performances by Murayama using voice, percussion, and sign waves mixed with field recordings. Densely structured and mysterious, this is an overpowering, incomparable masterpiece.
