Live at Karel Ball, Brussels 16-09-2013. Lac Chimère is a lake in Mensono, where many unknown and untouched sound creatures reside. They sometimes form musical gatherings in which their sounds float in ether. This album consists of field recordings captured at the very moment while making an accidental stop at the lake.
Il y a toujours chez Timo van Luijk une attitude entre naïveté et matière brute, une apparente légèreté qui sonne comme une nouvelle musique ethnique, une fausse musique d’ambiance, une improvisation façon seventies, un brin de shamanisme dissimulé…
Le duo enregistré lors d’un concert au Karel Ball, à Bruxelles en 2013, s’inspire d’un voyage imaginaire au bord du Lac Chimère.
