Brainnectar is Eb.er’s most developed program to date, combining psychodynamic audio-environments built from specific nature-sounds and extreme acoustics, often including ecstatic elements on instruments of shamanic origin. Binaural beats as well as isochronic tones stimulate a direct neural reaction to this unique and unheard audio-art. In addition, the grand lady of japanese extreme music – screamvocalist Junko Hiroshige (Hijokaidan) – participates on several tracks throughout this 2 CD package. The title Brainnectar is derived from tantric techniques raising psycho-physical energy, or inner fire, from the perineum up to the top of the brain, from where it drips (as nectar). This consciousness-expanding heating and dripping during creation and/or reception of Brainnectar is given priority over any musical aesthetics.

Excellentissime 2 CD de ce performeur suisse allemand installé à Tokyo et créateur du groupe Schlimpfuch. L’ombre des actionnistes viennois ou d’Antonin Artaud plane sur ce 2 CD avec 42 morceaux qualifiés de psychoactifs. Brutaux, shamaniques et trippants, ces “environnements” audios construits à partir d’enregistrements extérieurs, d’actions et d’instruments acoustiques sont l’équivalent d’une musique concrète sauvage et hors académisme. C’est un peu ce qu’Antonin Artaud aurait pu faire après ses didascalies dans les escaliers de la radio en 1947 ! Et à noter la participation ô combien intelligente de Junko Hiroshige dont les cris déchirent la membrane des hauts-parleurs. Hautement recommandé !
