“Halber Pogo (half a pogo) is a 60 minute recording in which scripted text-pieces are recited from memory. The selection of the pieces is left up to the moment, as much as how much content of each piece is remembered; along with their actually determined pronounciation – that often buggers off. This inaccuracy, the resulting pauses, the sensuality that arises from these circumstances, is what is of interest to Halber Pogo.”
Né en 1977 à Berlin, Michael Barthel travaille dans le champs de la performance, de la musique concrète et de la poésie phonétique. Il vit et travaille à Leipzig où il dirige la galerie Kunstraum Barthel.
“Halber Pogo” est son deuxième CD pour Tochnit Aleph. Un enregistrement de 60 minutes dans lequel des textes scénarisés sont récités de mémoire. La sélection des pièces est laissée au désir de l’instant tout comme la quantité de textes mémorisée, dans une diction déterminée, mais très vite mise à mal par une imprécision créant des pauses surprenantes. L’ensemble est visiblement enregistré sur cassettes ce qui ajoute à l’atmosphère général.
Très brut et poétiquement incorrect ! Recommandé !
