Based on the original score for the film “I Am Here” (2014), written and directed by Anders Morgenthaler, starring Kim Basinger, Jordan Prentice and Sebastian Schipper. This is the first collaboration between Jóhann Jóhannsson and BJ Nilsen… very much a mix between their two worlds, you can hear both their signatures, and with the help of additional musicians, including Hildur Gu nadóttir on cello and the remarkable voices of Elfa Margrét Ingvadóttir and Gu mundur Vignir Karlsson, they together create a world of great beauty and
mystery.

Première collaboration entre Jóhann Jóhannsson & BJNilsen, “I Am Here” se base sur la partition écrite pour le film du même nom, “I Am Here” (2014), écrit et dirigé par Anders Morgenthaler. On ressent un mixage des deux mondes sonores des musiciens, l’immersion dans des matières étendues, des enregistrements de terrain retravaillés dans des trames envoutantes, une orchestration modale et mélancolique autant sous influence mystique que de grandes productions hollywoodiennes, des atmosphères un brin pompier et néo-classique certainement en soulignement du film que l’on ne connait pas. “I Am Here” évoque des paysages beaux et froids, une immensité glaciale et mystérieuse dans un temps suspendu. Avec la participation de Hildur Gu nadóttir, violoncelle, Daniella Strasfogel, violon alto, Elfa Margrét Ingvadóttir et Gu mundur Vignir Karlsson, voix.
