“Kontraktion” and “Extruder” are the results of various tape-sessions by Conrad Schnitzler and Siegmar Fricke in Con’s former studio Leberstrasse in Berlin.The soundscapes on both records (produced in November 1986 and July 1987 with EMS-Synthi A, Korg MS 10 + MS 20 + delays) contain all the machinistic energy and infernal industrial sound-eruptions similar to Conrad’s first three albums “Schwarz”, “Rot” and “Blau” and to the rumbling train wheel rhythms of “Zug” (from the “Red Cassette” 1974). The albums also carry the spirit of the first “Cluster” album (released in 1971 on Philips) due to the imposing bruitiste elements and uneasy sci-fi atmospheres.
“Schubkraft”, the third and final album of the Schnitzler/Pharmakustik-triology (recorded during the same sessions in Berlin) contains two long pieces of thrust generated force and propulsive power. Soundwise an album combining mechanically driven rhythms and propelling velocity with rusty organic textures. The shiny yellow cover reflects the sheer explosive drive of the audio-material.
The complete session-material has been refurbished, restructured and recombined by Siegmar Fricke at Pharmakustik-studio Germany.
“Kontraktion” et “Extruder” sont le résultat de diverses séances d’enregistrement réalisées par Conrad Schnitzler et Siegmar Fricke dans l’ancien studio de Con, Leberstrasse, à Berlin. Les paysages sonores des deux disques (produits en novembre 1986 et juillet 1987 avec EMS-Synthi A, Korg MS 10 + MS 20 + delays) contiennent toute l’énergie machinale et les éruptions sonores industrielles infernales similaires à celles des trois premiers albums de Conrad “Schwarz”, “Rot” et “Blau” et aux rythmes de roues de train grondantes de “Zug” (de la “Red Cassette” 1974). Les albums portent également l’esprit du premier album “Cluster” (sorti en 1971 chez Philips) en raison des éléments bruitistes imposants et des atmosphères de science-fiction inquiétantes.
“Schubkraft”, le troisième et dernier album du triptyque Schnitzler & Pharmakustik (enregistré lors des mêmes sessions à Berlin) contient deux longs morceaux de force générée par la poussée et de puissance propulsive. Il s’agit d’un album combinant des rythmes mécaniques et une vélocité propulsive avec des textures organiques rouillées. La couverture jaune brillante reflète l’énergie explosive du matériel audio.
Le matériel de session complet a été remis à neuf, restructuré et recombiné par Siegmar Fricke au Pharmakustik-studio en Allemagne.
