Bruce Russell is a New Zealand experimental musician and writer. He is a founding member and guitarist of the seminal noise rock trio The Dead C and the free noise combo A Handful Of Dust (with Alastair Galbraith). He has released solo albums featuring guitar and tape manipulation, and has contributed articles to British music magazine The Wire.

Musicien, théoricien, et activiste, Bruce Russell est une figure de la scène néo-zélandaise que ce soit avec The Dead C, A Handful Of Dust (avec Alastair Galbraith) ou en solo. Maître du boucan organisé, sans technique affirmée, il bricole façon musique concrète à la maison ou mur du son avec une guitare feedback et électroniques en live. Il explore le bruit et l’improvisaton comme d’autres ont créé des situations ou dérivé dans les rues de Paris des années 50/60.
“Metallic OK”, référence à Debord mais aussi aux Stooges, les deux fondations du travail de Bruce Russell.
