The Genthon_Marchetti duo works on a composition that takes space into account as one of the essential vectors in the sense that an acoustic response, through the arrangement of loudspeakers and sound volumes, becomes the very substratum on which the music will naturally rest. Inventing a form of duet in which the body of the violin itself seems to melt into the plasticity of the synthetic sounds, the two instrumentalists build, by subtly staging the loudspeaker projection, a musical work insisting on spatial emanation from a focal point – like a single eye, a lighthouse, a beacon that would indicate the path of an enchanting myth, or at least a direction to be considered as a life line, a magnetic pole.

Le duo Genthon_Marchetti travaille sur une composition qui prend en compte l’espace comme l’un des vecteurs essentiels dans le sens où la réponse acoustique, par la disposition des haut-parleurs et des volumes sonores, devient le substrat même sur lequel la musique va naturellement s’appuyer. Inventant une forme de duo où le corps du violon lui-même semble se fondre dans la plasticité des sons synthétiques, les deux instrumentistes construisent, en mettant subtilement en scène la projection des haut-parleurs, une œuvre musicale qui insiste sur l’émanation spatiale à partir d’un point focal – comme un œil unique, un phare, une balise qui indiquerait le chemin d’un mythe enchanteur, ou du moins une direction à considérer comme une ligne de vie, un pôle magnétique.
