D’une part, parce que ses interprètes ont connu et travaillé pendant de nombreuses années avec le compositeur. D’autre part parce cet enregistrement très sensible rassemble pièces connues et pièces inédites de Moondog, dont la plupart sont dédiées à Dominique Ponty. En parfaite résonance avec l’œuvre de Moondog, Dominique et Stefan en sont aujourd’hui les interprètes les plus authentiques. La caractère proprement “inouï” de ces œuvres, leur interprétation fidèle, soucieuse du moindre détail, font de ce disque un témoignage indispensable de l’œuvre de ce musicien lumineux.
